Inspiration came from the Baroque era, in which the collection featured elegant gowns, intricate detailing and stitching. FashionTV is backstage with the designer himself as he gives us the inside scoop of all the hard work that went into the brilliant designs. "We have more colors, palettes, Swarovski and chiffon", Mahfouz says. Backstage, models slipped into their gowns which featured shades of rich colors and pastels along with some pinks and sparkling greys. The unique factor of the show was Mahfouz's diverse use of different fabrics such as lace, muslin and tulle net skirts which all emphasized the collection's elegance. The runway was dazzling as each dress included hundreds of different types of rhinestone and crystal embellishments. Models stunned in fresh bright makeup and high sleek and straight ponytails. Mahfouz did an excellent job creating dresses with velvet sashes, narrow waists and flowing shapes that emphasizes a woman's hourglass figure.
